YOUR GUIDE TO OUR POCKET OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Discover the Farms, Food, and Agricultural Heritage of the Capay Valley

Capay Valley Grown is your guide to the farms, ranches, producers, and experiences that define this unique agricultural region in the Northern Central Valley of California.

Capay Valley is a quiet farming valley in Yolo County, California — about 90 minutes northeast of San Francisco and under an hour northwest of Sacramento along scenic Highway 16. Tucked between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Capay Hills, just north of Napa Valley, it's easy to reach and even easier to fall for.

Discover the Capay Valley

A Short Drive, a World Away

The Capay Valley is home to a thriving community of small, family-owned farms, many of which are organic or sustainably managed and produce high-quality fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and flowers that nourish both people and place.

Founded in 2004, Capay Valley Grown began as a way to unite the many farms of the Capay Valley under one shared identity.

Today, we continue this tradition through shared marketing, seasonal events, and education.

Capay Valley Grown serves farms in the towns of Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda, and Rumsey.

ABOUT CAPAY VALLEY GROWN

Created over 20 years ago to unite the voices of local farmers, Capay Valley Grown was founded to help small producers grow their reach, share their stories, and welcome visitors to the Valley.

Today, we’re rebuilding that network - reconnecting farmers, makers, and community members to strengthen our local food economy and celebrate what makes this Valley so special.

Through shared marketing, farm events, and regional collaborations, we champion the high-quality, sustainable products that are Capay Valley Grown.

A Community of Farmers, Producers, and Makers - the people behind the things you love.
